Biography
Raised in Union City, CA and an alumnus of the very schools The Village Method serves today, Mark also sees the work of TVM through the lens of having been a Black male student and resident in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the past fifteen years, he has dedicated himself to being a servant-leader, mentoring youth ages 10-19 through his church and local community. In 2010, Mark began the groundwork for TVM, effectively connecting with city officials, law enforcement, local clergy, alumni, and businesses on how they can work together to better support youth of African ancestry. In 2015, Mark left a successful corporate development and sales management career to pursue his passion for TVM’s vision full time. Mark is responsible for TVM’s operations including strategic partnerships, data assessment, needs analysis, fundraising and coordinating with school and community partners.
